The only airport for Medellín is José María Córdova (MDE).

One more thing — our wedding goes until 2 AM, so we don’t recommend booking an early morning flight on Sunday, August 16th unless you plan to dance straight onto the plane 😉

Getting to Colombia

  • Traveling from Arizona

    No direct flights from PHX to MDE (layover required).

    Travel time: ~7–10 hours depending on layover.

    American Airlines, United, and Copa are popular airlines.

  • Traveling from New Jersey

    EWR (Newark Liberty)

    No nonstop flights available.

    Frequent carriers: United, American, Spirit with varying early morning and afternoon options.

    JFK (John F. Kennedy)

    Only direct flights to Medellín (MDE) from here, operated by Avianca. 

    Average nonstop flight time: ~5.5 hours.

    LGA (LaGuardia)

    No nonstop routes. Layovers required, commonly through Florida.

We’re still finalizing hotel blocks with our wedding planner, and we’ll share those details here as soon as they’re available.

In the meantime, we recommend staying in El Poblado, Medellín’s most popular neighborhood for visitors. It’s central and full of restaurants, shops, and nightlife. From here, it’ll be easy to get around the city.
