The only airport for Medellín is José María Córdova (MDE).
One more thing — our wedding goes until 2 AM, so we don’t recommend booking an early morning flight on Sunday, August 16th unless you plan to dance straight onto the plane 😉

Traveling to Colombia
Guests will fly into José María Córdova International Airport (MDE), which is Medellín’s main international airport. The airport is about 45–60 minutes from the city, depending on traffic.
There are multiple daily flights from major U.S. cities, and most routes will include one connection, often through cities like Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, or Panama City.
Tip: We recommend using Google Flights and setting up price alerts to help you track flight deals.
Getting There…
We know everyone’s schedules looks different, so there’s no single “right” way to plan your trip. Here are a few common options we’re seeing friend/family book:
Wednesday 8/12 – Monday 8/17: Perfect if you’re aiming to attend all of the wedding events and want extra time to explore Medellín and nearby spots
Wednesday 8/12 – Sunday 8/16: Great if you’re planning to attend all of the wedding events and head home right after
Friday – Sunday or Monday: Ideal for a shorter trip focused on attending the wedding only
Once the full wedding weekend schedule is shared, you can choose the option that works best for you.

Transportation Between Airport & Hotel
We highly recommend having a transportation plan before arriving in Medellín. Many hotels offer transportation but there are definitely more affordable options outside of the hotel. We’ll continue updating this section with helpful options as the wedding gets closer.
